Jonah Wendt

Jonah Wendt burst onto the political scene in May 2015 when, while still in high school, he was named National Director of Social Media for Win Ben Win, a Super PAC supporting Dr. Ben Carson’s campaign for President of the United States. While the National Director of Social Media, Jonah recruited, trained and managed a team of over 30 individuals while creating specific strategies for the big three social networks. While with Win Ben Win, Jonah provided on the ground support for the Texas State Director, advised the National Director on Millennial outreach strategies, and acted as an advisor to national staff.

Following Ben Carson’s withdrawal from the 2016 Republican Primary, Jonah became the Senior Director of Social Media and Director of Interns for the Vernon Robinson For Congress campaign. While with the Vernon Robinson for Congress campaign, Jonah recruited and managed 16 interns. In addition, Jonah spearheaded the phone banking efforts by writing call scripts and compiling L2 data into easily callable lists. The same summer, Jonah served as a delegate to the Republican Party of Texas State Convention representing SD-10 and CD-12. The following summer, he was sent on a Stampede Consulting deployment to Clemson, South Carolina where he helped a state senate candidate win their primary.

Following his work in South Carolina, Jonah joined Americans For Prosperity as an Assistant Field Associate in San Antonio, Texas. Jonah block walked locally, in addition to making phone calls into states with important senate seats.

In October 2016, Jonah became the South Regional Vice Chair of the Texas Federation of College Republicans. In his time as South RVC, Jonah helped found four other chapters in the San Antonio area, effectively growing the region for one school, Trinity, to five schools: St. Mary’s, San Antonio College, University of Texas – San Antonio, and University of the Incarnate Word. In April 2017, Jonah became External Executive Director of the Texas Federation of College Republicans. As External Executive Director, Jonah created and managed a delegate selection process to the College Republicans National Convention. Later that month, he became Vice-Chairman of the entire federation.

As Vice-Chairman of the Texas Federation of College Republicans, Jonah has provided Regional Vice-Chairs with the training they need to identify and start new chapters in their regions, provided a free speakers bureau of speakers for chapters, and provided chapters with activism supplies from third party organizations following the College Republican National Committee’s decision to end their campus chapter box program.

In the Summer of 2017 Jonah interned on Capitol Hill for both Transportation and Infrastructure Majority Staff Water Resources and Congressman Bill Shuster’s Personal Office (PA-9).

In September of 2017, Jonah was approached by Gerald Fraas about founding Students For Opioid Solutions. Since then Jonah has been integrally involved in the founding, start-up, funding and growth of Students For Opioid Solutions.

Jonah Wendt will be graduating in May 2018 with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Trinity University. He can be reached at
